Partners are independent professionals or self-employed contractors, not employees. You choose your hours, methods and tools, and accept or decline each referral.
Codes of ethics for notaries and lawyers restrict sharing fees or paying for referrals. Viapostille receives no part of your fees, charges no referral or membership fee, and never asks for one.
Before the first referral, we confirm your licence or appointment on your regulator's public register and ask for proof of professional liability insurance.
Client files contain identity documents. Partners sign a confidentiality agreement and use secure transfer. As a Québec company, we apply Québec's private-sector privacy law (Law 25), including an assessment before personal information is communicated outside Québec.
For certificate retrieval, we obtain the client's signed authorization before any request to an issuing office, in the form that office requires.
