How it works from abroad

You handle nothing in Canada. We do.

You cannot walk into a Canadian authority from another country, and a document should not force you to fly back or hunt for someone in Canada. We are that someone.

Tell us what you have

Send a scan and the destination country. A free pre-check confirms the exact path for your document, with no guesswork.

We prepare the Canadian side

If the document must be signed or notarized in Canada (a power of attorney, an affidavit, a certified copy), we coordinate a Canadian notary. If it is already a public document, we route it directly.

We get the apostille or legalization

The right authority by province of issue, Global Affairs Canada, and the Québec Chambre des notaires step where it applies. An apostille for Hague member countries, legalization for the rest.

We ship it back to you

Your authenticated document comes back by tracked international mail, to your address anywhere in the world.

Apostille or legalization

It depends on where the document is going

Single apostille

Your destination is a Hague member

One apostille from the competent Canadian authority is enough. No embassy step. Most of Europe, the United States, and many others.

Legalization chain

Your destination is not a member

Authentication by Global Affairs Canada, then legalization by the destination country’s embassy. We handle both steps for you.

Not sure which applies? Tell us the country at the free pre-check and we confirm it.

From-abroad questions
Can you apostille a Canadian document if I am not in Canada?
Yes. The entire process is handled remotely. You never need to be in Canada, and neither does your client. We take care of the Canadian side and ship the finished document to you.
I am abroad, how do I get my document to you?
It depends on the document. For a public document we can often work from a certified copy or help order one; for a document that must be signed or notarized in Canada, we coordinate that step. We confirm the exact path at the free pre-check.
How do you send the finished document back to me?
By tracked international mail, to your address anywhere in the world. You get the tracking so you can follow it.
Which countries can receive an apostilled Canadian document?
Any member of the Hague Apostille Convention gets a single apostille, with no embassy step. Countries that are not members go through authentication by Global Affairs Canada and then legalization by their embassy. We check your country before you commit.
How long does it take from abroad?
The Canadian processing time plus international shipping. Timelines depend on the province or federal authority and your destination, and we give you a realistic estimate up front.
My client is abroad and needs a Canadian power of attorney for a court case. Can you help?
Yes. We coordinate the Canadian notarization and the apostille, and return the document ready to use, so your client does not have to find a lawyer or notary in Canada themselves.

Wherever you are, let’s get your document ready

Send us a scan and the destination country. We come back with the exact steps, a fixed all-in quote, and a realistic timeline, usually within one business day.
